Do we get to do a glacier flight on the the fly-in?

Yes! Occasionally weather prevents us from flying over the glaciers but when that is the case we often look for bears and moose. With Ursus Alaska everyone gets a window seat! You will find that is not the case with some air charters because of the configuration of the airplanes. We book your group accordingly so we can acommodate this highlight of your trip.

We are staying in Anchorage can we make a day trip to your location?

The short answer is yes, however, count on a 2½ to 3 ½ hour drive each direction pending summer traffic to the floatplane lake. It does make for a long day if you plan to come down from Anchorage and return after your fly in adventure. One of the advantages is that you save hundreds of dollars per person on selected excursions. We suggest you spend the night at a local B&B or lodge and can assist on setting that up.

Where do we meet?

We will give you directions to the float plane headquarters located in Soldotna. We work with several air charters so pending the size of your party we will give you the location when you book with us. Please be certain to arrive 30 minutes prior to departure to check in. Plan on arriving 45 minutes prior to departure if you need to purchase a fishing license.

How long is the trip?

Typically our trips are half day excursions that last between 5 ½ hours to 6 ½ hours. Our Custom Tours are typically 8-9 hours
