Jeremy has been guiding in remote Alaska for 30 years, sharing his passion extensively with visitors and peers alike. He has been instrumental in leading the industry in bear viewing and fly-in fishing excursions. Jeremy was the inaugural Bear Viewing representative for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.  For over a decade he trained all guides working in the Redoubt Bay/Wolverine Creek area for fishing and bear viewing. On the cusp of retiring from guiding after a lifetime of extraordinary experiences, his son, Sam, decided he wanted to continue the business; hence the start of Ursus Alaska. Together, Jeremy and Sam share their knowledge and experience with your family, guiding you in an unparalleled Alaskan experience.  Join them for an adventure of a lifetime!

There are few, if any, guides in the state of Alaska that have grown up fishing and exploring in the multitude of places Sam knows since childhood. He is Alaska Native and has spent his lifetime committed to and influenced by tradition and community.  Sam has taken  his passion for Alaska beyond the wild places he was raised to a new level of intensity and commitment. He has worked with the entire Alaska Congressional Delegation as well as the Governor on many issues that impact Alaskans and Alaska. Sam serves on Alaska Native Youth boards locally and nationally. He is a student at Stanford University studying Earth Systems and Political Science. You will be fortunate to spend the day experiencing Alaska with Sam in a way only he can share.
